Gott Data is proud to announce an impactful partnership with Evans Soccer Academy, The WE United Project, and Statloba Initiatives to launch a transformative program aimed at empowering young girls and women in Nepal. This initiative will combine soccer coach training, digital literacy, and community leadership development to offer young girls new opportunities for growth both on and off the field.

The project will provide soccer coach training to WE United’s youth coaches, empowering them with the skills to lead football clinics and serve as role models to younger players. Alongside the soccer training, participants will engage in classroom sessions focused on community leadership, women's and girls’ empowerment, and digital training. This dual approach ensures that young athletes not only develop their soccer techniques but also enhance their personal and professional skills.

Speaking on the significance of the project, Arpana, the Program Director at The WE United Project, said:

“In Nepal, women and young girls face significant barriers to accessing both sports leadership opportunities and digital literacy skills. Despite the growing interest in women’s football, there is a lack of structured training programs to equip female coaches with the necessary coaching techniques, leadership skills, and resources to organize and manage community-based football programs. As a result, many young girls, particularly in marginalized communities, are deprived of safe spaces for play and personal development through sports.”

Arpana further highlighted the importance of addressing the digital divide in Nepal: “Moreover, the digital divide in Nepal further exacerbates this issue. With limited access to digital literacy training, our coaches and girls are missing out on the essential tools needed to navigate the modern world, connect to opportunities, and enhance their personal and professional growth.”

Through this project, The WE United coaches will assist in conducting soccer clinics for local youth, offering hands-on training to aspiring young players. Beyond physical training, classroom sessions will focus on combating digital misinformation, fostering leadership skills, and bridging the technology gap through digital literacy programming. The initiative will support both coaches and young athletes in gaining access to essential tools that will prepare them for leadership roles within their communities.

The multi-faceted program will also explore other key areas that could benefit these young leaders, with ongoing input from WE United to ensure the initiative remains aligned with local needs.

“By integrating football training with digital literacy programming, we believe it ensures that both coaches and girls gain holistic skills that go beyond the field. This dual approach not only promotes athletic development but also fosters personal, professional, and digital empowerment, creating lasting impact within their communities,” Arpana added.

Speaking on this impactful partnership, Desh Deepak, the CEO at Gott Data, said:

"In many parts of the world, people are being left behind by the rapid rise of digital and emerging technologies. While AI and other innovations hold immense potential to create positive change, they can only do so when people—especially young people—are equipped with the knowledge and skills to harness these tools for growth and good. We are proud to support this initiative and partner with The WE United, whose transformative work has already impacted the lives of so many young girls and women in Nepal. I am also grateful for Evans Soccer Academy and Statloba Initiatives for leading the way in this project through Sports for Good. Our doing gott initiative is growing, and our partnership with incredible people from these organizations is going to create a positive impact in Nepal."

As a part of the Doing Gott initiative, Gott Data is committed to continuing our pro-bono work. Desh added: "Gott Data and Evans Soccer Academy are already covering the majority of the costs for this project, and our scope has already increased as we are finding there is so much more we can do to help young people in Nepal. We believe in the power of collaboration and know we can achieve even more with support from everyone. So, I encourage everyone to please visit our GoFundMe page to donate or share it within your network to help us make an even greater impact."

This collaborative effort between Gott Data, Evans Soccer Academy, WE United Project, and Statloba Initiatives is planned for March 2025.
